Warm Caramelized Onion, Cheddar & Bacon Dip


  • 1 Tbsp Butter
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 7 oz package old Croc Sharp or Extra Sharp Cheddar
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup fat-free sour cream
  • S&P to taste
  • 6 cooked bacon slices chopped


  1. Preheat oven to 400°. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a large sauté pan, over medium heat. Add onion, sauté stirring frequently approx 30 minutes til golden in color. Cool slightly. Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl, reserving 1 Tsp cheese.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a small ceramic baking dish coated with cooking spray. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake for 15 minutes or until browned and bubbly. 

  3. Serve warm with crostini or flatbread.
