Suzanne’s Easy Cheesy Pasta Pleaser

INGREDIENTS

1 onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, diced
1 medium head of broccoli, rough cut
1 pound pasta of your choice, Fusilli or Penne is best
1 pound hot sausage, casing removed
1 cup Old Croc Sharp Cheddar Cheese
1 cup Old Croc Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese
Salt to taste

Boil the pasta as instructed on box. In a medium sized pan, cook the onion until it is translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Add the roughly chopped broccoli and the diced garlic. Cover for about 2 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender. Add the sausage to the pan, casings removed, and cover for about 3 minutes to brown. Uncover and turn the sausage. Cover the pan again, until sausage is fully cooked, about 3 more minutes. Strain the pasta and combine the it with the sausage and broccoli mix. Salt to taste. Turn the oven to broil. Fill an oven safe pan with the pasta. Cover the pasta with both cups of Old Croc Sharp Cheddar Cheese and Old Croc Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese. Broil until cheese is bubbling and brown, about 4 minutes. Enjoy!

For mushrooms: Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Stir mushrooms in the butter until well coated. Add salt and pepper. Sauté mushrooms, stirring frequently, until browned, about 5 minutes.
