  • Ingredients:
  • Vegetable or canola oil for frying
  • 2/3 cup sweet condensed milk
  • 3 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange zest
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 1 7 ounce Old Croc Sharp Cheddar cheese, cut into about ½ inch thick squares to fit wonton wrapper
  • 4 ounces guava paste*
  • Sugar for dusting wontons

  1. In a large, deep pan, add oil to cover bottom and about 2 inches up the sides. Heat oil over high heat.
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together condensed milk, orange juice, and orange zest. Set aside.
  3. Lay one wonton square on a work surface. In center, place a cheese square and top with about 1 tablespoon guava paste. Top with a second wonton square; seal edges with a small amount of water. Fold corners in, towards center, to make a pillow. Repeat to make 12 guava and cheese wontons. Fry in hot oil, turning once, a few seconds on each side or until lightly browned. Transfer to a paper-lined plate to drain excess oil; dust wontons with sugar.
  4. Serve with sweet orange milk sauce. Makes a total of 12 wontons.
