Go south of the border with our fiesta burger, overflowing with fresh salsa and melted sharp cheddar.
- 1 to 1 ½ pounds ground beef
- Old Croc Sharp or Extra Sharp Cheddar
- avocado sliced
- 4 to tomatoes diced
- 1/2 cup red onion diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 jalapeno seeded and minced
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/3 cup cilantro chopped
- salt & pepper to taste
- 4 buns
Season the ground beef with salt and pepper and mold it into 4 patties. Cook them over medium heat for 5 minutes, on both sides.
Combine diced tomatoes, red onion, garlic, jalapeno, cilantro, lime juice and oil. (Add jalapeno to taste; include the seeds for even more heat!) Add salt & pepper to taste.
When burgers are almost done grilling, top each patty with Old Croc Sharp Cheddar.
Remove from grill and assemble burgers on buns, topping with avocado slices and a few generous spoonfuls of salsa.
