BBQ Double Cheeseburgers with Grand Reserve Cheddar

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz ground beef (80/20 is best) (makes 4 double cheeseburgers)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 sesame seed buns
  • 1 block Old Croc Grand Reserve Cheddar
  • Lettuce, Tomato, Pickles, Ketchup, and Mustard for topping

Directions

  1. Separate ground beef into 2 oz portions and roll them into balls.
  2. Preheat a blackstone or a griddle on a barbecue grill, to 450.
  3. Using a cheese slicer, cut the grand reserve cheddar into shards.
  4. Once the griddle is pre-heated, place two of the 2 oz portions of beef onto the griddle and smash down with a spatula or griddle press. Season each patty with salt and pepper.
  5. Let the patties cook on one side until brown and crispy, then flip.
  6. Put the sesame seed buns on a higher rack on the grill to toast and warm through.
  7. Top each patty with a pile of cheddar shards. Close the grill cover to let the cheese melt.
  8. Remove the buns from the grill while the patties finish cooking.
  9. Place both patties on the bun and top with condiments, 2 slices of tomato, and a crisp lettuce leaf.
  10. Enjoy!
