Cast Iron Pizza Bread Rolls
~ 55 min cook Serves 6
These warm, pull-apart pizza bread rolls are comfort food at its best. Soft dough is wrapped around classic pizza sauce, melty Old Croc Sharp Cheddar, and optional pepperoni, then baked together in a cast iron skillet until golden and irresistible.
Ingredients:
- 7oz Old Croc Sharp Cheddar Cheese, grated
- Biscuit dough or premade pizza dough
- Jar of pizza sauce
- Pepperoni slices, quartered (optional)
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- Italian seasoning
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350F
- If using biscuit dough, peel each dough section in half. If using pizza dough, pinch off a small section at a time.
- Flatten the dough into a disc, spread 1/2 tbsp of sauce in the middle, add a few pepperonis, then a pinch of Old Croc cheese. Wrap the dough and pinch the middle to seal and place in a greased cast iron skillet. Repeat.
- Bake in the oven for 20 minutes, remove and sprinkle additional cheese over the top. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle some Italian seasoning over the top. Bake for another 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Enjoy!
