Press excess liquid out of shredded potato & onion, then place into a mixing bowl. Add Old Croc cheese, flour, egg, baking powder and spices. Mix until incorporated.
Coat a frying pan with canola oil, and heat over medium heat. Working in batches, drop scoops of potato mixture into the pan, fry 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden.
Serve warm, and top with sour cream!
