Aussome Ham & Pineapple Bella Pizzas

Old Croc Extra Sharp Cheddar crowns this tropical, veggie-packed twist on pizza, created by Shauna H., in our "Most Aussome Recipe Contest". Portobello mushrooms are topped with pizza sauce, ham, pineapple, peppers, and onions. A deluge of melty cheddar and a smattering of red chili flake and black pepper finishes this cheesy treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 seven ounce block Old Croc Extra Sharp Cheddar grated
  • 4 portobello mushrooms
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 Cup pizza sauce
  • 1/4 Cup diced ham
  • 1/4 Cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 Cup diced red bell pepper
  • 1/4 Cup pineapple tidbits
  • 2 Tablespoons scallions sliced thin
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Wipe portobellos clean with a damp cloth. Use a spoon to gently scrape out the gills. Brush the caps with oil inside and out and set onto a cookie sheet.
  3. Bake portobellos for 7 minutes. Remove from oven.
  4. Top mushrooms with the pizza sauce. Add the cheese, ham, onion, bell pepper, pineapple, and scallions.
  5. Sprinkle with red chili flakes and pepper.
  6. Bake an additional 5 to 7 minutes until the Pizzas are heated through and the cheese is melted.
